Here at j. confections we pride ourselves on finding creative and tasty solutions to help keep your cravings at bay. We hand select each and every ingredient and make only small batches to ensure quality in each and every finished product.
365 days a year you can find our website open and ready to ship you a variety of our caramel + chocolate covered apples and solid bars in milk, dark, and white chocolate varieties. Chocolate dipped strawberries will be added very soon so be sure to Join Our Family and we’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready!

Jerry Van Leer is the head chocolatier here at j. confections and in charge of handcrafting everything edible.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force then spending years in various high-level corporate-America roles, he craved building something of his own—and most importantly—a legacy his family could inherit and carry on for generations to come. In 2016 he started pursuing his dream with chocolatier training, becoming fully certified in 2017. After months of sourcing the highest quality ingredients and plenty of taste testing (of course!), he started what is known as j. confections in 2018.
Jerry lives in the suburbs of St. Louis, MO with his family. When he’s not in the kitchen crafting his next chocolate concoction, he can be found spending time with his family, enjoying a good cup of decaf coffee, drawing, and/or enjoying the challenge of a good 1000 piece puzzle.
